Salt-Water Moon

I love theatre. I love being on the stage and I love being in the audience. It's been a lot of fun, therefore, to now have a different means of involvement - production/promotional photos! I've taken promo shots for Vancouver's 'starstar theare' and the 'Troika Collective' but this was my first experience working with 'PlanZ Theatre'. Eleanor and Julie are wonderful, hard-working local artists and I was more than happy to be a part of the team for their production of "Salt-Water Moon" playing now through July 31st at Pacific Theatre in Vancouver, BC.
The play takes place in 1926, Newfoundland  (which I quickly picked up on by their very sweet "newfie" accents!). When director, Eleanor Felton, was asked "What do you hope the audience takes away from this play?" She responded, "When we hear that something is a love story, we all want to believe it, but we think we should be smarter than that. We are skeptical of love - we are cynical, especially of young love. SALT-WATER MOON is a simple love story, gently asking us to fight for love for 80 minutes. I hope that it will inspire our audience to hope and fight for the future, and to leave the past in the past."
The score consists of beautiful, live violin in order to keep with the Maritime feel.
